New York Fashion Week Networking Photo Shoot (behind the scenes)
This past weekend Models International held a networking photo shoot where press, clients, and media were invited to come view the models while they shoot their show cards for New York Fashion Week at Collective Hardware in New York City. We flew famed photographer Kenny Sweeny from Los Angeles for this eventful shoot. Jamal Hodges was the lead hair stylists for over 35 models, and make-up artist Chico Mitsui ensured each model glowed in front of the camera. Stylists Brooke Auston, and Reginald Elliott styled each model for the shoot paying close attention to detail to ensure every shot was Fashion Week ready!

Nolcha teams up with Models International at New Yorks Empire Hotel
In lieu of the upcoming Nolcha fashion week in February Scallywag and Vagabond headed out this past Thursday to make sense of the chic revelry been experienced by the guys and gals over at Models International and of course the man behind Nolcha – Arthur Mandel.
As usual we came across the very much adored JohnThompson of Models International whom we are always very fond of and his cohort partying up. That said charmed, and acquiescing to John’s demand’s to drink (and we did, or at least I did…) I couldn’t help but notice the wide turn out and the occasional model sashaying past as one after the other they came, danced, greeted Johnny and ignored me…Oh well, from there it was a catch up session with Arthur Mandel who assures me the upcoming collections are going to be a knock out and that even now putting it together has been a consumed labor of love.
As guests continued to stroll in and take in the wonderful vista of the Empire Hotel penthouse sweep view I couldn’t help but think that the Nolcha collections are once again going to be a charmer and no doubt some new talent will be discovered and maybe if I turn up to the collections maybe just maybe one of the models might notice me. (I assume Arthur will offer me front row thank you very much!) But if they don’t I still might end up living somehow. Thanks for the all the fun and drinks- Johnny and Arthur!!

Models International Presents "Gifts for Gorgeous" a charity benefit for Toys for Tots
Models International hosted its "Gifts for Gorgeous" charity benefit for Toys for Tots this past Thursday December 3rd 2009 at Collective Hardware in New York. The event which partnered Models International, and Toys for Tots together for the first time was a huge success. The agency collected 165 toys that will be donated to underprivileged children this holiday season via the United States Marine Coprs Toys for Tots charity program.
Guests were also interviewed in front of the step & repeat by New York City PR, and both Susie Iliyan and Zach Wright of The Miche Group. The De Miche Group will also feature footage from the event via their online men's life style magazine The Smugger(http://www.thesmugger.com/) January 2010.
Models were outfitted in exceptionally stunning cocktail dresses by upcoming designer Miamesthys. Make up was provided by Elsa Zamora, and hair by Annunciata Cornelius of Gi-Amor's salon spa. The very vibrant up-tempo music that guest enjoyed throughout the evening was provided by STADJ a creative DJ company that trains models to DJ at various events.
Catherine Fellows, managing partner and Executive Director of Models International NY stated, "we are overwhelmed with the fashion communities' support on Thursday night at the Toys for Tots benefit. The number of gifts donated will put a smile on many more little faces this holiday season. I hope that we have set an example for other organizations in fashion to become activists in making the world a better place."
