It's all about Chelsea!

After looking at so many faces, and names they tend to start to look the same; but then in walks Chelsea. At 5’9, and a body that is desired by all Chelsea effortlessly sets herself apart from the pack. Hailing from Pennsylvania, and at 17 years old Chelsea makes it clear that she is here to make a definite impact. Allaboutmodels.blogspot.com states "She is not like hundreds of other Models, she is more special, she is more incredible, she is a real stunner. Her strong blue-green eyes and her face shape make her unique." One things clear, and that is that Chelsea is here, and has no plans of going anywhere but to the top!

I heart Princess Jasmine

I had the pleasure of sitting down with one of Models Internationals newest faces Megan Hostetter. At 18 (She'll be 19 August 26th) this Virgo shared what she considered to be cool, personal and just down right dated. Surprisingly in the middle of a hot July day Megan managed to stay both cool, and hot at the same time!

Recession or Recycled?

Has fashion been affected or inspired by the current economic recession?

With consumers being more conscious of how they spend their dollar one has to ask has this affected of inspired fashion? Walking down the streets of New York is more than just a runway it has become a time warp that has been fixated on the 80’s. From the boutiques of Soho to the cobblestone streets of the Meatpacking district to the polished fire hydrants of Madison Avenue the 80’s aesthetic is everywhere.

Fashionistas have stormed consignment and thrift shops, and in some cases reached back into their closets for inspiration in this economic freeze. The result has been a flashback to the 80’s with spot lights on skinny leg and acid wash jeans, bright neon colors, oversized off the shoulder tops, asymmetrical haircuts, and in some cases the glorious return of shoulder pads. So has fashion been affected or inspired by the recession? While some designers are embracing this recycled look others are moving forward in a systematic approach that clearly says today’s fad is not tomorrow’s fashion!

Miami, Fl- Model Lydia Penso walks in the runway during Miami Swim Week. Her first showing was in the Red Carter presentation on Friday July 17, 2009 at 8pm and her second showing was to close fashion week for V Del Sol on Sunday, July 19, 2009. Both presentations were for Mercedes Benz Fashion week held at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach Miami. Press, buyers and other industry professionals were in attendance.

Diane Park lands Audrey Magazine

Congratulations to Diane for her first cover! Also in this July/August '09 issue of Audrey Magazine is a 6 page editorial shot at the beautiful Griffith Park. Part of the editorial is an inlet that reads, "Upland, Calif.-based model Diane Park is a second-generation Korean American who has been modeling for four years. 'I like to be transformed in the designer's vision,' says the 5-foot, 9-inch model. Besides striking her very best poses in front of the camera, the 20-year-old Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising student dreams about creating her own fashion line one day. Park describes her own personal style as 'very simple' and 'minimalistic,' favoring designs by YSL and Chanel.
